How Give Hope Helps

Give Hope Northern Nevada helps families with essential expenses related to a child’s medical treatment. Assistance commonly includes rent and mortgage payments, travel costs for medical care, and uncovered medical expenses or co-pays.

The level of financial assistance is based on household income, as well as the type and length of the child’s medical treatment. After an application is submitted, a Family Navigator works directly with the family to assess individual needs.

Give Hope provides support regardless of diagnosis. Families facing a wide range of childhood illnesses and medical conditions may qualify for assistance.

Families may apply online or by calling 775-624-6154. A written physician diagnosis is required before the application can be reviewed. A Family Navigator will follow up once the application is received.

In most cases, payments are made directly to service providers after receiving a bill or invoice. Limited reimbursements may be available with original receipts.

Applicants must be legal U.S. residents receiving treatment in the United States. The child must be under 18 years old, or under 21 if enrolled in a secondary education program and claimed as a dependent.

Yes. Families may still apply even if they have received assistance from other nonprofit organizations.
